Notes on Undermountain

Fluffy's huge map
A Entrance to cowface teritory. I guess not anymore though, heh.
B You can get to Skullport this way, but I don't know how, I followed someone the one time I went. Restaurant there has good fried elf. Um, or so I've been told.
C We never go this way, don't know why.
D Food. Nasty bats.

AFAL: Does food appear here or are the bats the food?

Mushrooms.

E Fi'ithlarg Lair.

AFAL: What or who is Fi'ithlarg ? All that you know on Fi'ithlarg.

Badass frog thing. Doesn't come out of it's lair much. Sometimes we leave food or treasure at its entrance to stay there. Shorter than me, taller than Moogh. Wears a green robe with gems on it. We think humans and drow visit it sometimes, not sure though.

AFAL: Fluffy, do you know any other names for it? Did you hear the humans call it something? Or the Drow?

Oh sure, we hung out in hall while drow came by. They not mind a bit. Not even notice cause we so stealthy. Gahh.

We not see drow or humans come by. See tracks in dust or puddle, hear voices, smell scents. Some humans probably frog food, maybe some drow too, me not know. But some humans seem to leave again. Don't know for sure.

AFAL: How often did you all leave food or treasure for Fi'ithlarg? How often did the humans/drow come?

Every time we gather food nearby, about every hand of sleeps, we leave a gem or some coins. Whenever we fight surface dwellers, we bring one to Fi'ithlarg, happens about once in double-hand of sleeps. Hard to tell with humans and drow. We not go near Fi'ithlarg often. Not even real sure they visit. Maybe triple-hand of sleeps, maybe half that? Don't really know.

AFAL: How many coins? And of what type? What type of gems? How big?

One or two pretty little rocks, a triple-hand or so of gold coins. Not my decision, never paid much attention I guess.

F We never go this way because it would make us dead.

AFAL: Why? More information, please.

That was enough for me. I didn't ask.

G Trolls here.

AFAL: Number, type? Color, size etc.

When you find bunch of trolls you count them? Strange. Trolls is trolls. We kill them or we leave. Don't even know how many rooms they have.

AFAL: So they wandered in small groups, less than 10? What color is their skin? Ogres are ogres. Except some of them have magic. Any of them much bigger than the others?

Gahh. Rest of world has noses that work. Know what? Your hair different from his, he much taller too. You still smell same. Sometimes we smell small group, five or six in corridors, then there are none. Sometimes much larger group, then we not let them smell us. Many trolls in those rooms. Been there too long to be sure how many. We not go in to do roll call. Smells bad there.

AFAL: You do burn them afterwards don't you? Or didn't you know that the only way to keep a troll down is to burn it or destroy it with acid? And if you fight them, you would have had to touch them and be touched with by them. I would think that a skilled warrior, like yourself, would be able to tell the difference between an opponent that is half again as tall as he is as compared to one that is his size.

If you burn them, you can see them in the flames.

But. We. Not. Fight. Those. Trolls.
That. Why. They. Still. There.

Gahh.

H Our Camp/Lair. You don't wanna go there.

In the middle of the map on the eastern edge, there is a blue area. Is this pure water?

Is fountain with three levels, we drink from top level, wash in middle, make waste in bottom.

I Leaders' Quarters. I wasn't allowed in there.

AFAL: Which leader? Who?

Our leaders. Duh. Biggest ogres and ogres with magic. 5 total, plus cowface who makes stone walls.

AFAL: How many ogres with magic?

Three.

AFAL: Next set of questions, How much does it cost to hire your group? A leader type? A soldier like yourself? And how does one contact your group for hiring? How many soldiers are available? We have need of good soldiers. Some of our group were soldiers we hired for this trip.

The leaders handle those details. It's not something we hear about. You'd want to talk to my commander about that. Oh wait, you can't do that because you just killed him! Maybe not good time for hiring.

AFAL: So how many soldiers left in your group to hire? I presume that there are other commanders. Having just lost a bunch of good warriors to battle, they might want to take a contract with a strong group. It is better to ally than to be destroyed. A trained fighter, like yourself, must know the value of a sword brother. Allies are the same with groups.

Do you have friends or family there, that you would like to have join you in your service to Moogh? If so, what are their names?

Me not stupid you know. Is triple-hand of warriors plus women and children. Warriors divided into three bands: Hrenktark's Raiders, Questrach's Crushers, and Grandakl's Enforcers, my group. Only about half my group worked for cowfaces, rest probably work under Hrenktark and Questrach now. Most ogres I hang with dead now. What is family?

J These all connect further south, but I've only been there once or twice and I don't remember details, sorry.
K Good area to hunt for giant lizards.
L Strange lights here.
M Bigass spiders here.

AFAL: Number, color, type, etc.

Again you want counting? How many cowfaces were in labrynth? Hah. Didn't think so. At least two more when we left, probably at least five. Your size or my size, something like that. Cold white fuzzy kind.

AFAL: To the west of the compass there is a small circle in a room in the corner. What is this?

Big statue of some human.

AFAL: In the room in the center with pillars, there is a door that goes nowhere on the map. What is there? Has anything come out of there? Did you smell anything near there?

Don't know what's through there, only seen it once when some friends and I went to see where corridor ended. Didn't smell anything, but didn't bother going close either. Really big doors.
