Alturiak 5

Alturiak 5, 1370: (just past full moon)
    High = -5, Low = -20
    No precipitation
    Calm.
    Cloudy.

    Henkles in bed.

    Staric and Deringa begin training to be completed on the evening
    of Alturiak 14 for Staric and Alturiak 24 for Deringa.

    Jan & co. are discovered by a guard patrol from Amphail, but
    manage to convince them that they are bringing some horses that
    they recovered from an orc raiding party back to Rassalantar and
    they never heard of this AFAL group.

    Dexter's little sister, Ornma, asks party to investigate
    dissapearance of boyfriend's little brother's (George's) puppy.
    Blames Old Miss Mireria, spinster in large house down the street
    from boyfriend ("what kind of a name is Fred anyway?"), has lived
    there 5-ish years.

    While party is discussing ways to aproach this problem, as well as
    the discovery that Ornma has a boyfriend (Fred), Ag, a "karma
    adjustment specialist", approaches party and offers his services.
    They discuss his qualifications and current legal status (vague)
    and decide to accept him into the party.  At that point Ag
    presented Deringa with her purse, which he said she had "dropped".

    After introductions with Ag settled down, Tristan introduces
    himself and asks about joining the party.  He explains that he is
    a spellcaster who casts both wizard and priest spells, but not
    healing spells.  This gets a somewhat cool reception from the
    party until they realize that he's a Battleforge, at which point
    they welcome him to AFAL.
