Eleint 27

Eleint 27, 1369:

    AFAL decided to give the Ring of Teleportation to the House of
    Wonder (Temple of Midnight/Mystra) in exchange for identifying the
    pot of magic liquid.  They agreed and identified it as Oil of Fiery
    Burning.

    The party locates a buyer for their Quaervarr silk and sell all 16
    bolts at 138gp/bolt.

    200XP to Maanamere for general roleplaying since the 19th.
    
    It was suddenly discovered that Steve was a 6th level bard, not 5th
    (DM error).  He rolled a 4 for his retroactive 6th hit die.

    Mrs. Amtirask, the maid sent from the House of Cleanliness, arrives
    to discuss her employment.  She is a 4'11", 150 lb., grey haired old
    woman with grey eyes and a sweet smile.  Dexter casts Know Alignment
    and learns that she is Neutral Good.  He discusses her familly with
    her and learns of her children:

        Yanckae, who died when she was young
        Valdeseene
        Tatiask, who apprenticed to that strange Yanvar of Baldur's
            Gate fellow and is always flitting about the countryside
            instead of settling down like a good boy.

        Dedon, who was a Waterdeep guard, but died in the Time of
            Troubles when a piano fell from the sky on him
        Detha, who's in Baldur's Gate with that Yanvar fellow
        Ordriel, who's married to a young man who she has her doubts
            about but Mrs. Amtirask lives at their apartment.
    
    Dexter takes Mrs. A. to meet the party, who she's very nice too.
    She meets Mrap-Merap and gives him some catnip from one of her many
    pockets.  Mrap-Merap decides they should hire her.  She meets the
    bear and decides he's a sweetie, gives him some baklava and rubs
    his tummy.
    
    The party goes to the Old Guildhall on Gaustus Street and meets
    with Johann Gold, assistant to Guildmaster Turnstone.  He explained
    that several work crews that were repairing earthquake damage in
    the northeast of the city have disappeared.  A few of the people
    who dissapeared have been found, partially eaten.  One was found
    floating in the sewers south of Junction 12 and two others were
    found at the base of the ladder out of Junction 12.  He has already
    hired two other parties - The Lady's Tears and The Crimson Boots -
    to look west and north of Junction 12 respectively (the first party
    was sent under Sea Ward for political reasons) and would like to
    have AFAL search east from the same starting point.  The party
    agrees and tells Johann they will return to start in the morning.
