Eleint 25, 1369:

    Ornades Radomagar returned to the party with an offer of
    400gp/year, they sent him back with an offer of 384.


    Radomagar returned and reported that the offer had been accepted.
    The party paid for the first year (Marpenoth 21 1369-Marpenoth 20
    1370) out of party treasure, including all of their Toals.  They
    then sent word to the House of Cleanliness that they were looking
    for a majordomo.
    
    Jan went to the Market and found the booth where the chardalyn
    headed mace was for sale.  He askedabout it and learned that it had
    been brought back from the Spine of the World some months ago by a
    band known as Dragon's Nightmares.  He feigned vague interest and
    talked the merchant into a price of 42gp.  He brought it back to
    Fair Winds for Stewart, who gave him 10pp for it.
    
    A band of Zhentarim mages & fighters is caught travelling into the
    Nether Mountains.  No one knows why they were going there and the
    few who were captured alive die by mysterious magical means before
    they can be questioned.
