Dexter completed his priestly training and Moogh finished his martial training today. Theo and I examined the books bought at the auction. Many interesting things were found. Among the books is a volume titled Thunder's Last Days. This book describes a set of six teleportals that are activated by a variation of Explosive Runes. One of these portals is in a hidden pass near Silverymoon. Another is near Mount Flat-Top, which is west of the Long Road, near Amphail (about 70 miles from Waterdeep) Another is in the western part of the Spine of the World mountains. Another is near a Netherese site whose location has been lost. Another tome, Specific Properties and Uses of Peculiar Fauna, gives uses for some animal parts to enhance or replace the normal material components for certain spells. A third, Forgotten Mysteries of the Savage North, along with our copy of the Saga of the North, should allow us to find a place called Chardalyn Tower, a supposed resting place of the remains of one of the Nether Scrolls, an item of great magic power, along with a a number of Netherese artifacts. Assuming we feel that we can handle them, these books can point us to a number of places to go this coming spring and summer.
