Kythorn 17

Kythorn 17, 1369:

    1:55am The party was attacked by 4 Trolls.  On seeing them, Henkles
    whipped out Sear, which was glowing a sickly yellow-green, and
    charged them.  The party joined him and collectively they managed
    to kill the Trolls.  (The bear helped a lot.)  Falco and Steve were
    both brought below 0 in the fight.  The party noticed that Henkles
    seemed to be striking much faster than expected with Sear (weapon
    speed 0) and doing greater damage.  Wounds caused by Sear sizzled
    and could not be regenerated.  Henkles has developed a new-found
    hatred of trolls. (5600xp)
    
    Frik had been badly wounded in the battle and at Dexter's
    suggestion Buffy slept Frik and Frak and they killed Frak and fed
    him to the bear because Dexter was worried about lycanthropy.  They
    told Frik he died from his wounds and they burned him on a funeral
    pyre.

    Buffy tried to hold Sear for Henkles (in its wrapped-up state), but
    immediately developed a fierce hatred of trolls and decided to give
    it back to him so he could use it if the need arose.  Her fierce
    hatred of trolls faded back to normal after a few minutes.
    
    The party headed down the mountain and turned towards the road.
