Henkles, Mrap-M'rap and Jan continued their information gathering
in Dock Ward. Toward the end of the day, they discovered that the
thief they were looking for had stayed behind when the Endeavor
sailed and was probably staying at a warehouse on Tower Trail that
    the ship had been using.

That evening, Maanamere went to meet his girlfriend, Mika, for a
date but she asked for help putting up some posters bearing a
familiar face first. Maanamere mentioned that he knows
Arcturagana and that she's a vampire, then left his date waiting
in the House of Good Spirits with the impression that he knew the
owner's familly while he went into the night alone to put up the
posters. Arcturagana of course showed up, all curious about the
posters and friendly with Maanamere. The following is excerpted
    from their conversation:

Maanamere (backing away a little): "If you want to see a poster,
there are plenty up on walls around the city. Hey," he says in a
slightly raised voice, "Why don't you follow the directions on
it and go turn yourself in for the reward?"

Arcturagana: "<sniff> Well if you're going to be that way about
it. I was just hoping I could get one without tack holes in it to
keep for the nice picture. Is that so much to ask?" She shivers
from the cold and tries to step closer to Maanamere, as if to
    share a little warmth.

He steps considerably further away as she shivers. "You can't fool
me. You're only cold because you're dead! Er, undead, um, there's
no blood flowing in you! Well, no warm blood anyway."

"<whining> Why do you always have to keep criticizing me about
that? I still don't see why you can't accept that being
differently living has so many benefits over mundane
existence-styles. Besides, it's not as if I had any choice in
the matter, well not much anyway, and you shouldn't have upset me
so much in the first place.

Why is it always me who's trying to make the first step anyway?
You were the - never mind - the point is we should be willing to
put the past behind us and move forward. All this
    argumentativeness just isn't helping."

"Look, the thing is, you probably want to talk to Dexter or Henkles
anyway. I have other plans tonight. Why don't you meet us
tomorrow nigh... um, afternoon, yeah, in the front yard, yeah! Do
that and I'll talk with you."

"<upset> What are you talking about? Don't go pushing your new
friends between us! We need to work this out by ourselves
together, not in a crowd of people who are just going to act as
your enablers!" Her speech becomes hysterical and the
beginnings of tears are visible in her eyes as she continues. "Why
do you always have to be avoiding our issues? Can't you see I'm
doing everything I can for us?"

By this point she had attracted a fair bit of attention and two
large gentlemen stepped up to ask her if Maanamere was bothering
her. Maanamere jumped in with the information that she was a
vampire and that people were looking for her and showed them the
posters. They were skeptical until they saw the pictures of her
and then one motioned to the other, apparently pointing out the
fact that Arcturagana was not casting a shadow despite the nearby
streetlight. They began apologizing for butting in and backing
away, but Maanamere was all about sticking together and going with
them. Arcturagana finally got frustrated and left in a big huff.
Maanamere followed the two strangers, despite their escalating
attempts to discourage him. Eventually he was running after them.
He gave up pursuit when he got close to the House of Good Spirits.

Inside the House of Good Spirits, Maanamere looked for Mika, but
she was nowhere to be found. He asked around and eventually
learned that she had left five minutes after he left her there,
heading north. Maanamere then returned to Fair Winds and filled
everyone in on his misadventure. Jan observed that Mika's
direction of departure could take her to the address indicated on
    the poster.
100xp to Maanamere for surviving and such.
