Clear sky until 2:00pm, then overcast.
As the missing party members were returning from jail the next
morning, word arrived from Dusty that the Endurance had returned
to Waterdeep Harbor at 5:40am that morning and that he was
watching it. The party headed off to join Dusty, who reported
that many groups of sailors had disembarked, most headed in
obvious directions for supplies or accounted for on the docks
since, but one group had headed off in the direction of
The Warehouse.
The party contacted the City Watch to let them know that they were
going to check for Rabairnil in the warehouse, claiming that they
had received a tip about the building as a result of the reward
they had posted. Two watchmen accompanied them.
When they got there, they knocked and then went in. It was quiet,
but Maanamere indicated that multiple people had walked in
recently. They began to advance cautiosly, but three people
started shooting at them, one from the shelves and two from the
opening in the 2nd floor. Moments later, a Spectral
Hand, apparently cast by Rabairnil, came out of the shelves as
well.
Moogh ran into the shelves. Henkles used the Sproing Ring to jump
to the second floor and engage the archers. Darius spotted the
source of the Spectral Hand and cast Magic Missile
at Rabairnil. Maanamere started heading towards him. Two sailors
in the shelves tried to flee but ultimately failed.
The next round, Darius miscast a spell and cast Wall of
Fire around himself, setting the warehouse and one watchman on
fire. He put himself out and they ran for help. Rabairnil pulled
a sphere off of a necklace he was wearing and threw it, creating
an area of darkness, he then proceeded to flee. Maanamere and the
goblin skeletons the party had encountered before emerged
seperately from the shelves and some ornithopters attacked.
Dexter cast Dispel Magic on the Wall of Fire as the
darkness prevented him from seeing the skeletons.
After that, Darius used a scroll to cast Water Bomb to put
out the fire in the warehouse. Dexter, seeing the skeletons,
turned them. Moogh pursued Rabairnil through the warehouse and a
second Darkness. Steve led the remaining two skeletons,
which were pursuing him, up to the second floor (and Henkles) as
Maanamere followed after Moogh in the pursuit of Rabairnil.
Rabairnil cast a third Darkness just outside the warehouse,
but Moogh managed to tackle and stab him. Maanamere arrived
moments later and started destroying the ornithopters which had
been trying to cover Rabairnil's retreat. The rest of the enemies
inside were quickly dispatched and Henkles ran down the fleeing
skeletons.

Using the Glimmer Gauntlet, the party hastilly stripped the bodies
of all magic items before the watch returned. Then they turned
the bodies over to the Watch, who had arrived accompanied by
members of the Watchful Order of Magists and Protectors, who were
pleased to see that the fire was out.
Later, the harbor patrol questioned the captain of the Endurance,
but learned nothing useful.
Some party members and Dusty questioned some of the sailors in
bars that afternoon (-20gp from party treasure). They learned
that the sailors were happy to be rid of Rabairnil and that he had
been keeping "something bad" below decks that they wished was also
gone. The party sent an offer to the captain to collect and
dispose of anything Rabairnil may have left behind (without
explaining that they were the ones who killed him). He requested
a meeting the next morning.

Chain Mail of Free Swimming - +1 protection but also enchanted
to be as easy to swim in as no clothing at all, also adds
+1 to swimming proficiency checks, taken from a sailor of
course
