    This morning AFAL received a message by courier, bearing the seal of House Ammakyl. It said, "Need your help. Situation desperate or wouldn't have contacted you. Please come to Amphail ASAP -- Staric Ammakyl."

    We packed up the wagon & horses, and headed north out of city an hour before noon. The party was glad to discover that Gulkker had the forethought to equip the wagon with removable runners. We quickly realized that the trip will be slowed by the over 20" of snow that has fallen since the 8th.
