Marpenoth 11, 1369:

    Jan, Cassie and Dexter complete their training.  Jan rolls a 6 for
    5th level hit points, bringing him to 41 + (6 + 4) = 51.  Cassie
    rolls a 3 for 5th level hit points, bringing her to 15 + 3 = 18.
    Dexter rolls a 6 (1, then 7) for 5th level Priest hit points,
    bringing him to 45 + ((6+2)/2) = 49.

    That evening, Cassie cast Identify (now at 5th level) on the last
    potion from the forgotten temple and identified it as an Aid
    Potion.  She then learned that the Sproing ring was created by
    Khelben Arenson the Elder and that it provides +3 damage for
    thrown weapons before missing a roll.
