Nightal 30

Nightal 30, 1369:
    High = 30, Low = 15
    No precipitation
    Wind gusting to 48 mph from the prevailing direction.
    Cloudy.

    That morning, Maanamere was awakened by the sunlight streaming in
    his window, which should have been completely blocked with
    curtains.  His yelp brought everyone else.  Examining the area
    outside his window, the party found that the snow was packed down
    as if someone had been lying on it but radiating no heat.  There
    was also a dead seagull with all the blood drained from it.  The
    party tested Maanamere for charms and used the Glim Gauntlet to
    confirm that the Wizard Lock was still in place.  Then they
    checked all the other windows to be sure.

    The party examined their spellcasting options and decided to cast
    Alarm and Wyvern Watch on the area outside the
    window each evening.

    Steve and Theo begin copying spells from the found spell books
    into the party spellbooks.

    That night the Alarm spell went off, although the Wyvern
    Watch remained in place.  Maanamere called out "Who's there?"
    but got no answer, so eventually the party opened the curtains and
    saw that there was no one there.  The party reset the Alarm
    and went back to bed.  The rest of the night was uneventful.
