Gene Inventory

AlphaGene has developed a very rich gene inventory
of approximately
500 million human clones from 200 cDNA libraries. This wealth of genetic
information covers 20 human tissues including brain, heart, kidney, liver,
lung, and skin. The inventory also contains mouse, rat and tobacco
libraries |

About 55% of the gene inventory is from the human brain, both adult and fetal,
and 45% is from non-neurological human tissues.
Over
300,000 cDNA's have been sequenced or categorized, representing less than
1% of the 500,000,000 clones.

An
analysis of our sequenced library against GenBank shows that approximately 50%
of our sequenced clones are full length with known homologs.
AlphaGene has isolated more than 200 full-length genes encoding secreted
proteins and completed the sequences of more than 600 other novel genes.

AlphaGene
has an agreement with DoubleTwist,
Inc. allowing access to AlphaGene's proprietary gene inventory.
Customers can utilize powerful bioinformatic tools to search for matching genes
in the AlphaGene database.
Our goal is to create an e-commerce business which fosters
out-licensing of our proprietary gene inventory.
